How in the world?

Summer's almost over! How did that happen? Where did it go?
We have been busy, as usual. Why I thought summer was a vacation is beyond me, really. ha.
My sister, Chelle visited in early July with her beautious family...We had fun. Hung at Mam's most of te time.

Took the kids to a free summer movie. Monsters vs. Aliens. (having 3- 1 year olds in tow you never know if you will have to pack the clan up and high tail it. Free movie was the safe choice. Believe it or not 75% of the crew made it through! The day was victorious right there if you ask me.) We also took a day trip to the Florida Aquarium.

Saw some fish and wildlife in action. Touched stingrays and other crawly ocean critters and got to run around and play in a little water park afterwards.

I love getting to see my nieces and nephew. They are growing so darn fast. Man. Oh and love seeing my sissy and her hubby, too. :-)

My IP's just got done visiting from California, this past weekend. Had a great time with them, too. We had an ultrasound and saw this little guy bouncing around. They came over for dinner and met my parents, my sister Jane and  her daughter, Emma. It's always great to see them!
Today Mark's Mom and sister, June are coming in. Then over the next couple days the rest of his family will arrive in town. They love the beach so they try to visit each summer.
Once they all leave, school starts that next week. See what I mean...summer is nearly over!
We have already started up with Abbie's sports, volleyball has open gym for the next 2 weeks and tryouts before school starts. Orientation is next week for her, too. High School. Ayi Yi!
Lord help us!!!!

Birthdays, Vampires and Werewolves... OH MY!!!

That last week of June is killer in the way of birthdays for our family. Brandon (BIL) kicks us off on June 20th. Next is Grampa Al on June 22nd. Then there's Grampa Brant on the 24th. And Shawnie is the 26th. Did you notice they were all 2 days apart? Funny thing...Emma was due the 28th of June. We all know she made a much earlier appearance, though. And then Agnes and Hanna, the beautiful Swedish twins I carried celebrated their first birthday yesterday, July 1, 2010. I was able to talk to their Mum and both girls are walking! WOW! Unfortunately, the twins' Dad had to have back surgery, so he is out of commisssion for a good 6 weeks or so. Other than that they are doing well. I will hopefully soon have some pictures to share from their big celebration.

On Tuesday night-ergh...Wednesday morning Me, Abbie and Jane went to see the midnight showing of Eclipse, the third movie in the epic Twilight Saga. It was great! We showed up at the movie theatre about 3 hours before showtime (even though we had bought our tickets weeks earlier) to ensure we had good seats. It worked. Our seats were great, the movie was phenomenal and it was fun to  share the excitement with my 14 year old daughter and my baby sister. There were people of all ages and types.  I would say almost all of them were "geared up" with either Team Edward or Team Jacob shirts. The theatre's staff played along as well, donning vampire bites, fangs and pale white faces. There were even a few that sparkled. We had a really good time.
